Day One: The 15-Day Rejection Challenge

Day One: The 15-Day Rejection Challenge

Today, I started a 15-day rejection challenge.

Every day I am going to make a crazy request to a random stranger. The goal is to tear down the fears of rejection and perhaps be delighted by the surprising acts kindness by random people.

Being the first day, I faced a bit of fear but thankfully, by holding myself socially accountable through Facebook, I forced myself to do it.

I was first in pursuit to ask a police officer to drive his car and then later drive someone's Tesla. I found no officers but later found an unmanned Tesla. Since I do want to drive a Tesla, I left a note, but this didn't suffice.

On my way home late in the evening, I stumbled upon a fire station and asked to get in one of the trucks. A fireman named Quincy told me the fire crew was on the way to a call. So I asked to ride along. Quincy informed me there is a form online I can fill out to ride along.

Unfortunately, this form does not seem to exist. Darn you, Quincy.

A fun and accomplished day one.

If you want to join me on this challenge, message me or comment and I will invite you to be an admin on the Google doc in which I am publicly tracking my results.

Cheers
